(Mont. & Fr.) Berthier

Study description
On decaying fine stem debris on the ground, with clavate fruit bodies, very small in size, 1 to 1.8 mm high by 0.24 to 0.35 mm wide, white to pale cream in mature specimens, and with a translucent base.
Monomitic hyphal system, with only hyaline generative hyphae, 3 to 8 µm wide, those corresponding to the stipe surface separated by gelification, and beneath these more compacted hyphae arranged parallel to each other, all septate with clamp connections at the septa.
Without cystidia.
Basidia clavate, 24 to 32 µm long by 4 to 6 µm wide, with basal clamp connections, and with two or four sterigmata (bi- or tetrasporic).
Spores heart-shaped (cordate), lobed, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, 4.5 to 6 µm long by 3.5 to 5 µm wide, with a thick oil or lipid drop inside (guttulate), and inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
