Tubaria cistophila
Cheype

Study description
Small-sized species associated with rockroses (Cistus sp.), with a convex to flattened cap, 4 to 12 mm in diameter, ochre-brown, with subdecurrent, widely spaced, cream gills, a cylindrical stipe darker than the cap, and a slight fungal odour and taste.
Filamentous cuticle formed by hyphae arranged more or less parallel, 5 to 12 µm wide, with yellowish-ochre pigment inside, septate with clamp connections.
Caulocystidia present on the upper part of the stipe, cylindrical, sinuous, slightly capitate, grouped in clusters, 30 to 60 µm long by 4 to 8 µm wide.
Cheilocystidia abundant, cylindric-lageniform, flexuous, capitate, with a narrow neck, 35 to 65 µm long, with a maximum width of 5 to 9 µm, and with basal clamp connections.
Basidia clavate, 22 to 35 µm long by 6.5 to 8.5 µm wide, with basal clamp connections and tetrasporic.
Spores ellipsoidal to subamygdaliform, asymmetric, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, 6.5 to 8.5 µm long by 4 to 5.8 µm wide, with an eccentric apiculus at one end, with oil drops (guttules) inside, and inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
