Pileipellis cellular (a hymeniderm), composed of pyriform to clavate cells 35 to 50 µm long and 15 to 30 µm wide, clampless, with abundant brown intracellular pigment.
Cheilocystidia fusiform, clavate to lageniform, large, 35 to 85 µm long and 10 to 30 µm wide.
Pleurocystidia fusiform to lageniform, 40 to 90 µm long and 15 to 35 µm wide.
Basidia cylindrical, ventricose, 25 to 35 µm long, 6 to 9 µm wide, simple-septate at the base, 4-spored.
Spores subglobose to ellipsoidal, smooth, moderately thick-walled, pinkish-grey under the microscope, 6.5 to 9 µm long, 6 to 7.5 µm wide, with an almost imperceptible apiculus, containing oil droplets, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
