Ectal excipulum composed of hyaline, thin- to moderately thick-walled cells of textura globulosa-angularis, 8–15 µm in diameter.
Asci cylindrical to slightly clavate, 8-spored, measuring 30–45 µm long by 4–5 µm wide, with uniseriate to irregular spore arrangement, forked at the base, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
Paraphyses filiform, 1.5–2 µm wide at the base, abruptly capitate at the apex (3–4 µm wide), containing abundant orange pigment inside.
Ascospores allantoid to reniform (horseshoe-shaped), smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, measuring 3.2–4.2 µm long by 1.2–1.9 µm wide, containing two lipid guttules (biguttulate) positioned at opposite poles.
