(Costantin & L.M.Dufour) Boursier

Study description
General: Autumnal conifer specialist fruiting in large troops or fairy rings, pileus white staining ochraceous with age, white lamellae, solid stipe, taste slightly bitter.
Pileipellis: Filamentous cutis of hyaline or faintly ochraceous hyphae 3-6 µm wide, arranged parallel to slightly interwoven, septate with clamp connections.
Lamellar edge: Bearing scattered hair-like terminal hyphae, cylindrical, flexuous, hyaline, 20-45 x 2-5 µm, projecting above the basidia.
Lamellar trama: Regular.
Basidia: Clavate, 25-35 x 6-8 µm, with basal clamp connections, 4-spored.
Spores: Subglobose to ellipsoid, minutely verruculose, 6-8 x 4-5.5 µm, with an inconspicuous hyaline apiculus, containing oil droplets, amyloid in Melzer's reagent.
