Hemimycena cucullata
(Pers.) Singer

Study description
A white species occurring under broadleaf trees, with an umbonate cap center.
Pileipellis composed of broad, cylindrical, vesiculose, short-septate, hyaline hyphae, with fusiform pileocystidia emerging from the pileal trama in fascicles.
Caulocystidia abundant, cylindrical to fusiform, hyaline, partially thick-walled, up to 40 µm long and 8 µm in maximum width, occurring scattered or in small clusters.
Cheilocystidia very numerous, rendering the gill edge virtually sterile, fusiform, 20-35 µm long and 5-8 µm wide.
Basidia clavate, 25-30 µm long and 5-7 µm wide, with basal clamps, 4-spored.
Spores cylindrical to fusiform, with one end more pointed where the apiculus is located, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with abundant vacuolar internal content, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
