Fuligo septica

Cortex lemon-yellow, single-layered, very fragile and brittle, with abundant yellow lime granules, and underneath (within the capillitium) abundant white lime granules.

Capillitium filamentous, abundant, with simple or very sparingly branched hyaline threads.

Spores globose, pale brown under the microscope, minutely ornamented with clusters of darker warts.
