Cortinarius olens

Hyphae of the outer peridial wall filamentous, hyaline or with only slight ochraceous intracellular pigment, arranged more or less parallel and clamped; below this, broader hyphae with short cells.

Basidia cylindric-clavate, some slightly ventricose, with basal clamp connections, 4-spored.

Spores short ellipsoidal to amygdaliform, verrucose-walled, yellow under the microscope, with darker warts and a prominent centered apiculus at one end.
