Caloboletus radicans

Pileipellis filamentous, with hyphae interwoven with each other, with simple septa (without clamp connections), hyaline or with only very faint yellowish pigment inside.

Cystidia scattered, fusiform, strongly ventricose, with a narrow base.

Basidia clavate, slightly widened at the apex, 4-spored.

Spores cylindrical-fusiform, yellowish under the microscope, smooth-walled, with a lateral apiculus and faint oil droplets inside.
