On decaying ground leaves of broadleaf trees, with clavate fruit bodies, total height 1.5 to 2.5 mm, with a white to pale cream fertile head or clāvula, a long stipe darker at the base, and without a sclerotium.
Monomitic hyphal system, with cylindrical hyphae arranged parallel, hyaline, thin-walled, 2.5 to 4 µm wide, septate, generally without clamp connections, but with some swellings at the septal level.
Caulocystidia on the stipe surface, septate, filiform, hyaline, very slender, and occasionally with apical bifurcations.
Basidia subcylindrical to clavate, 20 to 30 µm long by 5 to 7 µm wide, with a simple base and tetrasporic.
Spores ellipsoidal, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, 8 to 10 µm long by 3.5 to 4 µm wide, with an eccentric apiculus at one end, with diffuse oil droplets inside, and amyloid in Melzer's reagent.
