(Schaeff.) P.Kumm.

Study description
Species that carpets the forest floor of our pine woods, with a convex to flattened cap, 3 to 6 cm in diameter, with a fibrillose mouse-grey surface, adnate to emarginate white gills, a white cylindrical stipe, and a mealy odour and taste.
Cuticle with a superficial layer of cylindrical hyphae arranged parallel, with short elements, 2 to 5 µm wide, with abundant greyish intracellular pigment, and beneath these broader, less pigmented hyphae with swellings, all of them with multiple septa and without clamp connections.
Gill edge fertile, with only basidia or basidioles (without cystidia).
Basidia cylindric-clavate, 30 to 40 µm long by 5.5 to 8 µm wide, with a simple base and tetrasporic.
Spores ellipsoidal, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with an eccentric apiculus at one end, 6 to 8 µm long by 4.5 to 5.5 µm wide, with a large oil drop inside (guttulate), and inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
