(Bull.) P.Kumm.

Study description
Species found in all types of forests, both broadleaf and coniferous, with a hemispherical to convex cap, 2.5 to 8 cm in diameter, with a smooth yellow to orange-brown surface, adnate yellow gills, a yellow cylindrical stipe, an unpleasant gas-like odour, and a mild taste.
Filamentous cuticle formed by cylindrical hyphae irregularly intertwined with each other, 3 to 7 µm wide, with abundant yellowish pigment inside, with some emergent endings with rounded apices, all septate and without clamp connections.
Without cystidia, but with some cylindrical, sinuous, hyphoid terminal elements, shorter and narrower than the basidia.
Lamellar trama regular or parallel.
Basidia cylindric-clavate, 35 to 45 µm long by 8 to 10 µm wide, with basal clamp connections and tetrasporic.
Spores ellipsoidal to amygdaliform, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with a curved apiculus at one end, 8.5 to 12 µm long by 5.5 to 7.5 µm wide, with a thick oil or lipid drop inside, and inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
Herbarium material available: JTP2632/25.
