Trechispora kavinioides
B.de Vries

Study description
On decaying wood on the ground, in this study on the hymenium of a polypore, with completely resupinate basidiomes, hydnoid surface with spines white to pale cream, 0.72 to 0.86 mm high, 0.11 to 0.14 mm wide at the base, with a faint common subiculum and a white, fibrous growing margin.
Monomitic hyphal system with moderately thick-walled subhymenial hyphae, smooth, hyaline, 1.8 to 3.3 µm wide, septate and with clamp connections.
Hymenium without differentiated cystidia.
Basidia cylindric-clavate, small, 7.5 to 8.5 µm long, 3.5 to 4.5 µm wide, with basal clamp connections, 4-spored.
Spores ovoid to ellipsoid, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, 3 to 3.5 µm long, 2 to 3 µm wide, with a slightly eccentric apiculus at one end, containing oil droplets (guttules) inside, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
