Trametopsis cervina
(Schwein.) Tomšovský

Study description
On dead wood on the ground of broadleaf trees, especially beech, with effused-reflexed basidiocarps, generally in large imbricate clusters, upper surface hirsute, cream to brownish, hymenium with very irregular pores measuring 0.5 to 1 mm, cream-colored, and pale cream context up to 1 cm thick.
Dimitic hyphal system, with thick-walled hyaline skeletal hyphae, 3 to 6 µm wide, sparsely branched and aseptate; and thin-walled hyaline generative hyphae, unbranched, 2 to 4 µm wide, septate and with clamp connections.
Without cystidia, but with some fusiform cystidioles among the basidia, 15 to 18 µm long and 4 to 5 µm wide.
Basidia clavate, 20 to 25 µm long, 5 to 7 µm wide, with basal clamp connections, 4-spored.
Spores cylindrical to slightly allantoid, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with a faint eccentric apiculus at one end, 6.5 to 8 µm long, 2 to 3 µm wide, containing small oil droplets inside, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
