Study description
On dead decaying wood or bark on the ground, with resupinate basidiomes, having a slightly granular surface when fresh, light yellowish-brown, and a paler growing margin that tapers progressively, diffuse and poorly defined.
Subicular hyphae moderately thick-walled, 2 to 5 µm in diameter, with pale brown pigment inside, unencrusted on their surface, septate, mostly clamped, but with some hyphal segments having simple septa.
Subhymenial hyphae thin-walled, subhyaline or with faint yellowish pigment inside, 3 to 7 µm wide, profusely branched, septate, with clamp connections.
Without cystidia.
Basidia subcylindrical, sinuous, slightly clavate or utriform, 40 to 60 µm long, 6 to 9 µm wide, with basal clamp connections, 4-spored, with sterigmata up to 6 µm long.
Spores with a very irregular outline, lobed, echinulate, 7.5 to 10 µm long, 6 to 8.5 µm wide, ornamented with spines 1.2 to 2 µm high, with a faint apiculus at one end, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
Herbarium material available: JTP2622/25 and JTP2708/25.
