Study description
On decaying wood debris or organic matter on the ground, with resupinate basidiomes, tightly adhering to the substrate, with a smooth to slightly granular brown surface, and a paler, well-defined growing margin.
Subicular hyphae thick-walled, sinuous, brown under the microscope, 4 to 8 µm wide, with swellings up to 15 µm, some branching, unencrusted on their surface, septate, with thick and very prominent clamp connections.
Subhymenial hyphae thin-walled, hyaline or with only faint yellowish-brown pigment inside, 5 to 8 µm wide, septate, and like the subicular hyphae with thick clamp connections.
Without cystidia.
Basidia cylindric-clavate, hyaline or with only slight yellowish granular contents inside, 40 to 60 µm long, 8 to 10 µm wide, with basal clamp connections, 4-spored, with sterigmata up to 7 µm long.
Spores very irregular, ellipsoid to lobed, echinulate, thick-walled, pale brown in water, 7 to 9.5 µm long, 5 to 7 µm wide, ornamented with short spines or warts only 0.2 to 0.4 µm high, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
