Study description
On decaying wood or bark on the ground, with resupinate basidiomes, tightly adhering to the substrate, thin, with a minutely granular reddish-brown surface, and an indeterminate, diffuse growing margin.
Subicular hyphae thin- to slightly thick-walled, 2.5 to 5 µm wide, unencrusted on their surface, hyaline or with only faint light-brown pigment inside, branched, septate, with clamp connections.
Subhymenial hyphae thin-walled, hyaline, 3 to 5.5 µm wide, without swellings or encrustations, septate, with clamp connections.
Without cystidia.
Basidia subcylindrical to clavate, sinuous, 40 to 65 µm long, head width 6 to 8 µm, with basal clamp connections, 4-spored, with sterigmata up to 7 µm high.
Spores irregular, lobed, thick-walled, echinulate, brown in water under the microscope, 7 to 9.5 µm long, 6 to 8 µm wide, ornamented with short spines 0.3 to 0.8 µm long, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
