(Hedgc.) Samson, N.Yilmaz, Frisvad & Seifert

Study description
On decaying decorticated wood of Pinus sylvestris on the ground, forming a dense mass of small isolated colonies with white mycelium, turning green with maturation due to conidial accumulation.
Conidiophores biverticillate, with smooth-walled stipes 50 to 200 µm long, 2 to 3 µm wide, bearing 3 to 8 divergent metulae.
Metulae 10 to 11 µm long and 2.5 to 3.5 µm wide.
From each metula arise 3 to 8 phialides, 10 to 13 µm long and 2 to 3 µm wide.
Conidia globose, smooth, moderately thick-walled, small, only 2 to 3 µm in diameter, with homogeneous contents inside.
Herbarium material available: JTP2304/24.
