Subulicystidium brachysporum
(P.H.B.Talbot & V.C.Green) Jülich

Study description
On decaying dead wood on the ground, on the underside in contact with soil, with completely resupinate fructifications, whitish to light grey, only 0.1 to 0.2 mm thick, and with a diffuse, poorly delimited growing margin.
Monomitic hyphal system, with hyaline subicular hyphae, thick-walled, 2 to 4 µm wide, richly branched, often with hyaline encrustations on their surface, septate and with clamp connections.
Cystidia subulate (subulicystidia), thick-walled, 60 to 80 µm long, 3 to 5 µm wide at the base, with their surface covered with rectangular crystals, and with the apex crystal-free, hyaline, and thin-walled.
Basidia suburniform, constricted in their central part, 10 to 15 µm long, 4 to 5 µm wide, 4-spored.
Spores cylindrical-ellipsoidal, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, 8 to 11 µm long, 2 to 3 µm wide, with an eccentric apiculus at one end, with abundant oil droplets of various sizes inside, and inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
