Stereum ochraceoflavum
(Schwein.) Sacc.

Study description
On decaying broadleaf bark on the ground, with a preference for Quercus, with resupinate to semipileate basidiomes projecting up to 0.5 cm, 0.2 to 0.5 mm thick; ochraceous-brown hymenium; coriaceous and elastic in consistency.
Hyphal system dimitic, with thick-walled skeletal hyphae 5 to 7 µm wide, without septa; and generative hyphae, thin- to thick-walled, 2 to 5 µm wide, septate with simple septa (without clamp connections).
Pseudocystidia originating from skeletal hyphae, thick-walled, 80 to 100 µm long, 5 to 7 µm wide, lacking content inside.
Basidia cylindrical-clavate, 30 to 40 µm long, 6 to 7 µm wide, simple-based and four-spored.
Spores cylindrical, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, 6 to 8 µm long, 2 to 3 µm wide, with an eccentric apiculus at one end, containing oil droplets inside, and amyloid in Melzer's reagent.
