Skeletocutis amorpha
(Fr.) Kotl. & Pouzar

Study description
On decaying coniferous wood, especially pine, with effused-reflexed basidiomes, rarely entirely resupinate; pileus surface whitish to pale cream; 3 to 5 circular to angular pores per mm, thin-walled, pinkish cream to orange, with tubes up to 1 mm long, turning reddish with KOH.
Hyphal system dimitic, with thick-walled skeletal hyphae, hyaline, without septa, sparsely branched, 3 to 6 µm wide; generative hyphae hyaline, moderately thick-walled, 2 to 6 µm wide, often encrusted, septate and clamped.
Hymenium lacking differentiated cystidia, but with hyaline, fusiform cystidioles barely differentiated from basidioles, 12 to 18 µm long and 4 to 5 µm wide.
Basidia clavate, 14 to 16 µm long, 4 to 5 µm wide, with basal clamp connections and four-spored.
Spores small, allantoid, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, 3.5 to 5 µm long, 1.3 to 1.7 µm wide, with an inconspicuous eccentric apiculus at one end, and inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
