(Fr.) Watling

Study description
On decaying broadleaf wood on the ground, with a convex to applanate pileus 0.5 to 2 cm in diameter, velvety surface, olivaceous ochre to brown; broad brownish lamellae; a very eccentric to lateral, short, curved, brownish stipe with whitish pruina on its surface.
Cuticle filamentous, formed by cylindrical, slightly thick-walled hyphae, interwoven, 5 to 10 µm wide, with faint brown intracellular pigment, septate and clamped.
Cheilocystidia very abundant, cylindrical, sinuous, often slightly capitate, 35 to 50 µm long and 5 to 7 µm wide.
Basidia subcylindrical to clavate, 18 to 25 µm long, 6 to 7 µm wide, with basal clamp connections and generally four-spored.
Spores ellipsoidal with one flattened side, smooth, thick-walled, yellowish brown under the microscope, 6.5 to 9 µm long, 4.5 to 6 µm wide, with a barely perceptible eccentric hyaline apiculus at one end, containing small oil droplets (guttules) inside, and inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
