(Hallenb.) Spirin & Volobuev

Study description
On decorticated decaying wood of broadleaves on the ground, such as beech or alder, with completely resupinate basidiomes, very thin, pale yellow to cream, with a smooth to slightly granular surface, farinaceous to waxy texture, and a growing margin with whitish rhizomorphs.
Hyphal system monomitic, with only cylindrical, hyaline generative hyphae, thin- to slightly thick-walled, 2 to 5 µm wide, arranged parallel to slightly interwoven, often with minute oil droplets inside, septate and clamped.
Cystidia and other sterile hymenial elements absent.
Basidia subcylindrical to clavate, 15 to 21 µm long, 6 to 9 µm wide, with basal clamp connections, bearing 4 to 6 sterigmata.
Spores ellipsoidal, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with an eccentric apiculus at one end, 5.5 to 8 µm long, 2.5 to 4 µm wide, containing one or more oil droplets of varying size inside, and inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
Herbarium material available: JTP2640/25.
