Study description
Emergent and sessile fruit bodies, "fish-eye" in shape, subglobose to obtuse, greyish white at the margin with a dark blackish center, 0.7 to 0.9 mm in diameter, appearing isolated on the surface of a small decaying twig on the ground.
Asci eight-spored, 350 to 450 µm long, 8 to 10 µm wide, with spores arranged parallel inside the ascus occupying almost the entire length of the ascus, and inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
Paraphyses very abundant, filiform, 1.6 to 2.1 µm wide, projecting considerably above the asci.
Ascospores filiform, hyaline, thin-walled, septate, running nearly the entire length of the ascus, 2.1 to 2.6 µm wide, breaking up at maturity into part-spores 4 to 7 µm long.
