(Chevall.) Fr.

Study description
Species characteristic of conifers, occurring on soil among needles or on decaying buried woody debris, with profusely branched fruit bodies, brown at the base, whitish at the tips, with branches arising from a common base, branching into increasingly slender branches, with pointed apices, simple or bifurcate.
Hyphal system dimitic, with skeletal hyphae present at the base, thick-walled, 3 to 4 µm wide, and generative hyphae very abundant in the context and trama, slightly thick-walled, hyaline, 2 to 3 µm wide, septate and with prominent clamp connections at the septa.
Cystidia and other sterile hymenial elements absent.
Basidia strongly clavate, 25 to 35 µm long, 6 to 8 µm wide, with basal clamp connections and four-spored.
Spores ellipsoidal, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, 5.5 to 7 µm long, 2.5 to 3.5 µm wide, with a pointed end where the apiculus is located, containing oil droplets (guttules) inside, and inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
