A roadside species growing on bare soil among herbaceous stems, with a conical to campanulate pileus of small size (1 to 1.5 cm across), hygrophanous, blackish-brown when moist and pale ochre-beige when dry, adnate to decurrent by a tooth, white lamellae turning dark purplish-brown with sporulation, and a cylindrical stipe with a bulbous base, pale brown below and whitish at the apex.
Pileipellis composed of thin-walled subglobose to pyriform hyaline cells 30 to 50 µm long and 20 to 45 µm wide.
Cheilocystidia scarce, fusiform to lageniform, 30 to 55 µm long and 8 to 15 µm wide, intermixed with numerous pyriform cells.
Pleurocystidia of similar morphology, 40 to 70 µm long and 12 to 16 µm wide.
Basidia clavate, 25 to 35 µm long, 10 to 14 µm wide, partly clamped, 2- or 4-spored.
Spores ellipsoidal, smooth, dark reddish-brown under the microscope, 12 to 16 µm long, 6 to 7.5 µm wide, with an inconspicuous eccentric apiculus at one pole and a distinct central germ pore at the opposite pole.
