On decaying plant debris or directly on wood under broadleaved trees, with a campanulate to convex pileus flattening with maturity, 1 to 4 cm in diameter, adnate lamellae, white to greyish-brown with sporulation, and a cylindrical stipe covered in whitish fibrils over a pale brownish or cream background.
Pileipellis with an upper layer of subglobose, pyriform to clavate cells 15 to 40 µm in diameter, overlying slightly interwoven cylindrical hyphae with short cells, 5 to 12 µm wide, with faint brown intracellular pigment.
Cheilocystidia and pleurocystidia scattered, utriform, fusiform to lageniform, 20 to 60 µm long and 7 to 15 µm wide.
Basidia clavate, 15 to 25 µm long, 7 to 11 µm wide, clamped at the base, 4-spored.
Spores ellipsoidal, thick- and smooth-walled, 8.5 to 11 µm long, 5 to 6 µm wide, with an almost imperceptible hyaline apiculus at one pole and a central germ pore at the other.
