Study description
Species associated with conifers, especially pines (Pinus), on decaying decorticated fallen wood, with completely resupinate basidiomata of very slight thickness (0.1 to 0.3 mm), tightly adnate, yellowish with bluish tints, with a concolorous, sharply delimited margin.
Hyphal system monomitic; subicular hyphae with faint intracellular pigment, 3 to 4.5 µm wide, densely covered with hyaline crystals; subhymenial hyphae hyaline, 2.5 to 3.5 µm wide, thin-walled; both septate with clamp connections.
Leptocystidia abundant, subcylindrical to lageniform, thin-walled, 50 to 70 µm long, 5 to 7 µm wide at the base, unencrusted, projecting considerably beyond the basidia.
Metuloids scattered, very scarce, thick-walled, 35 to 70 µm long, 7 to 11 µm wide, densely encrusted with hyaline crystals, deeply embedded in the hymenium, scarcely protruding beyond the basidia.
Basidia clavate, 18 to 25 µm long, 5 to 6 µm wide, clamped at the base, 4-spored.
Spores ellipsoidal to subcylindrical, flattened on one side, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, 6 to 7.5 µm long, 3 to 4 µm wide, with a slightly pointed apicular end, containing guttules, inamyloid in iodinated reagents.
