(Pers.) Singer

Study description
Species growing on decaying dead wood of conifers, especially spruce or fir (Picea or Abies), pleurotoid or Crepidotus-like in habit, with a short, rudimentary lateral stipe, small size (pileus 1 to 2.5 cm across), whitish with faint pinkish tones, adnate whitish to pinkish lamellae, some bifurcated near the stipe attachment.
Pileipellis with a gelatinous, peelable upper layer composed of hyaline, moderately thick-walled filamentous hyphae separated by gelatinous matrix, 1.5 to 3 µm wide; below this layer lies a more compact stratum of parallel hyphae 2 to 3 µm wide; in both cases septate with clamp connections.
Lamellar edge fertile, without cystidia or other sterile elements.
Basidia cylindrical to clavate, 15 to 18 µm long, 2.5 to 3.5 µm wide, with basal clamp connections, 4-spored.
Spores cylindrical to allantoid, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, 4 to 5.5 µm long, 1.3 to 1.8 µm wide, distinctly amyloid in Melzer's reagent.
