Oxyporus corticola
(Fr.) Ryvarden

Study description
Resupinate species with a white to cream pore surface, 2–4 pores per mm, cream to light brown, tubes up to 5 mm deep, featuring two types of cystidia, and a sweet taste.
Monomitic hyphal system, composed exclusively of thick-walled generative hyphae 3–5 µm wide, septate with simple septa (clampless).
Gloeocystidia cylindrical, measuring 30–45 µm long by 7–10 µm wide, projecting considerably above the basidia.
Cystidia cylindrical to fusiform, septate at the base, measuring 15–25 µm long by 4–6 µm wide, scarcely extending past the basidial level.
Basidia clavate, 15–18 µm long by 5–7 µm wide, simple-based, 4-spored.
Spores ovoid to ellipsoidal, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with a slightly eccentric apiculus at one end, measuring 5–7 µm long by 3.5–5.5 µm wide, containing oil guttules inside, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
