Mycoacia uda
(Fr.) Donk

Study description
On fallen broadleaf wood on the ground (probably Fraxinus), with resupinate basidiomes, tightly adherent to the substrate, hymenium with densely crowded yellowish-ochre spines 1–2 mm long, waxy texture, and a whitish margin with shorter spines (turning purple in KOH, characteristic of the species).
Monomitic hyphal system, with cylindrical, smooth generative hyphae with thin to slightly thickened walls, 2–3 µm wide, septate, with partially clamped septa, frequently accompanied by scattered amorphous crystals of varying size.
Cystidia fusiform, inconspicuous, measuring 20–25 µm long by 3–5 µm wide, projecting little or not at all beyond the basidial level.
Basidia cylindrical-clavate, 15–20 µm long by 4–6 µm wide, with basal clamps, 4-spored.
Spores short-ellipsoidal to oblong, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with an inconspicuous eccentric apiculus at one end, measuring 5–7 µm long by 2.5–3.5 µm wide, with one or several oil droplets inside, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
Herbarium material available: JTP2610/25.
