Study description
On decaying branches or fallen logs of broadleaf trees, with completely resupinate basidiomes, tightly adherent to the substrate, waxy in texture, pale cream-coloured, with dense, slender, pointed spines (aculei) 1–2 mm long, isolated or occasionally fused at the base without a continuous subiculum, and with a diffuse growing margin bearing shorter spines.
Monomitic hyphal system, composed exclusively of generative hyphae with thin to moderately thickened walls, hyaline, 2.5–4 µm wide, with amorphous crystals of varying size in the subhymenium, septate and clamped.
Cystidia absent.
Basidia clavate, 13–15 µm long by 3.5–5 µm wide, with basal clamps, 4-spored.
Spores small, cylindrical to slightly allantoid, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, measuring 3.5–4.5 µm long by 1.5–2 µm wide, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
