On leaf litter or wood in coniferous or broadleaf woodlands, with a conical to convex-flattened pileus 1–2.5 cm across, yellowish-cream with a whitish margin, adnate lamellae, a cylindrical, hollow stipe of watery greyish-brown colour, darker below, with the base covered in whitish fibrils, and without any distinctive odour.
Cuticle (pileipellis) formed by filamentous hyphae 2–4 µm wide, arranged parallel to very slightly interwoven, with abundant diverticula up to 2.5 µm long by 0.5–1 µm wide, septate and clamped.
Stipe hyphae 2–5 µm wide, covered with short, slender excrescences.
Cheilocystidia clavate, pyriform to vesiculose, measuring 16–40 µm long by 10–18 µm wide, with some long cylindrical apical digitations up to 15 µm long by 1–1.5 µm wide.
Pleurocystidia absent.
Basidia cylindrical-clavate, 25–30 µm long by 6–8 µm wide, with basal clamps, 4-spored.
Spores ellipsoidal, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with a pointed end where the apiculus is located, measuring 8–10 µm long by 5–6.5 µm wide, with guttules inside, amyloid in Melzer's reagent.
