Mycena viridimarginata
P.Karst.

Study description
A Mycena occurring on stumps or fallen branches of conifers, with a conical-campanulate pileus 1–3.5 cm across, olivaceous-brown with a whitish margin, adnate lamellae with a greenish-grey coloured edge, a cylindrical, hollow olivaceous-brown stipe darker towards the base, a nitrous odour, and a raphanoid taste.
Cuticle (pileipellis) formed by a superficial layer of parallel cylindrical hyphae 2–4 µm wide, with greenish-brown intracellular pigment and simple to branched excrescences up to 15 µm long by 1.5–4 µm wide, septate and clamped at the septa.
Stipe hyphae parallel, 2–4 µm wide, mostly smooth without excrescences.
Cheilocystidia very abundant, fusiform, cylindrical to clavate, with some coarse protuberances, measuring 35–70 µm long by 7–20 µm wide, containing abundant greenish intracellular pigment.
Pleurocystidia absent.
Basidia cylindrical-clavate, 25–35 µm long by 7–9 µm wide, with basal clamps, 4-spored.
Spores ellipsoidal, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, measuring 7.5–11.5 µm long by 5.2–7 µm wide, containing oil droplets inside, amyloid in Melzer's reagent.
