Study description
Small species occurring on the bark of living deciduous trees, with a hemispherical to conical pileus 3–10 mm across, bluish-grey, adnate greyish-white lamellae, and a curved stipe coloured bluish-grey like the pileus, with whitish fibrils at the base.
Cuticle (pileipellis) formed by parallel cylindrical hyphae 2–7 µm wide, the outermost bearing short finger-like excrescences up to 3 µm long.
Caulocystidia present in the upper stipe, subcylindrical to vesiculose (polymorphic), 16–40 µm long, ornamented with digitiform excrescences 1–4 µm long.
Cheilocystidia clavate, measuring 16–40 µm long by 8–19 µm wide, the apex covered with scattered simple or branched digitations 3–9 µm long by 0.5–1 µm wide.
Pleurocystidia absent.
Basidia clavate, 23–35 µm long by 7–10 µm wide, without basal clamps, 2-spored.
Spores globose to subglobose, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, measuring 8.5–10 µm long by 6.5–9.5 µm wide, with an inconspicuous apiculus at one end, containing abundant guttules of varying size inside, amyloid in Melzer's reagent.
