Mycena pearsoniana
Dennis ex Singer

Study description
A Mycena very closely related both microscopically and molecularly to Mycena pura, with a convex to flattened pileus 1–2 cm across, pale yellowish-brown, lamellae distinctly decurrent with a tooth, a cylindrical, hollow stipe of brownish-violaceous colour with the base covered in whitish fibrils, and a raphanoid odour and taste.
Hyphae of the cuticle (pileipellis) cylindrical, hyaline, 2–4 µm wide, arranged more or less parallel, septate and clamped.
Cheilocystidia very abundant, rendering the lamellar edge practically sterile, subcylindrical, clavate to lageniform, measuring 65–104 µm long by 11–18 µm wide.
Pleurocystidia absent.
Basidia clavate, 22–27 µm long by 6–7.5 µm wide, with basal clamps, 4-spored.
Spores ellipsoidal, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with a pointed end where the apiculus is located, measuring 6.5–8 µm long by 3.5–4.5 µm wide, with one or several oil droplets inside, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
