Mycena mucor
(Batsch) Quél.

Study description
A very minute species found on decaying leaves of Quercus on the ground, with a campanulate to convex pileus only 1–4 mm across, white, adnate lamellae, and a filiform, watery-white stipe arising from a small basal disc.
Cuticle (pileipellis) composed of cylindrical, hyaline hyphae arranged more or less parallel, 4–7 µm wide, the outermost up to 12 µm wide and bearing abundant excrescences up to 9 µm long by 0.5–1 µm wide.
Caulocystidia hyaline, cylindrical with an enlarged base, sinuous, simple to branched, measuring 40–90 µm long by 4–7 µm wide.
Cheilocystidia subglobose to clavate, measuring 20–30 µm long by 7–15 µm wide, ornamented with short or long digitations up to 15 µm long.
Pleurocystidia absent.
Basidia clavate, 15–20 µm long by 6–10 µm wide, with basal clamps, 4-spored.
Spores cylindrical, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with a more pointed end where the apiculus is located, measuring 8–10.5 µm long by 3–4 µm wide, containing small guttules inside, amyloid in Melzer's reagent.
