Mycena floridula
Kühner

Study description
A species closely related to Atheniella flavoalba, for some time considered a mere pink variety but now recognised as a distinct taxon, growing among grass and moss, with a hemispherical to conical-convex pileus 6–14 mm across, pink (more pronounced in desiccated specimens) with a whitish margin, adnate lamellae, and a cylindrical, hollow stipe that is white to slightly yellowish.
Hyphae of the cuticle (pileipellis) with a thin superficial layer of parallel hyphae 2–4 µm wide, covered with dense diverticula up to 9 µm tall, underlain by much broader hyphae 8–20 µm wide.
Stipe hyphae smooth, 2–4 µm wide, septate and clamped at the septa.
Caulocystidia subglobose to lageniform, measuring 8–22 µm long by 8–15 µm wide.
Cheilocystidia fusiform to lageniform, measuring 40–55 µm long by 7–11 µm wide.
Pleurocystidia identical in morphology and dimensions to cheilocystidia.
Basidia subcylindrical to clavate, 25–30 µm long by 5.5–7 µm wide, with basal clamps, 4-spored.
Spores cylindrical-ellipsoidal, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with a more pointed end where the apiculus is located, measuring 6.5–9.5 µm long by 3.5–4.5 µm wide, with sparse small oil droplets inside, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
