Mycena dura
Maas Geest. & Hauskn.

Study description
An uncommon toxic Mycena that bears some resemblance to fairy ring champignons (Marasmius oreades), with which it shares habitat; its stipe can even withstand more than two full twists, potentially misleading inexperienced mushroom hunters, with a raphanoid odour and taste.
Cuticle (pileipellis) with cylindrical hyphae 4–6 µm wide, having cylindrical to fusiform terminal cells up to 20 µm wide.
Hyphae of the cortical layer of the stipe 2–4 µm wide, septate and clamped.
Caulocystidia subcylindrical to fusiform, measuring 40–60 µm long by 4–8 µm wide.
Cheilocystidia scattered, fusiform to lageniform, measuring 45–80 µm long by 12–20 µm wide.
Pleurocystidia similar in morphology, measuring 50–62 µm long by 15–22 µm wide.
Basidia cylindrical-clavate, 30–37 µm long by 6–10 µm wide, with basal clamps, 4-spored.
Spores cylindrical to slightly allantoid, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, measuring 8–12 µm long by 4.5–6 µm wide, containing oil droplets of varying size inside, amyloid in Melzer's reagent.
