Mycena cyanorhiza
Quél.

Study description
On decaying coniferous wood, especially Pinus, with a globose to convex pileus 3–7 mm across, pale greyish-brown, and a very long cylindrical hollow stipe up to 7 cm in length, pale grey, with a characteristic sky-blue base.
Cuticle (pileipellis) with a layer of filamentous hyphae only 1–3 µm wide, widely separated by gelification (ixocutis), abundantly branched, septate and with clamp connections at the septa.
Caulocystidia abundant, polymorphous: simple, bifurcated or branched, up to 50 µm long by 4–7 µm wide.
Cheilocystidia pyriform to clavate, measuring 14–20 µm long by 5–10 µm wide, with simple to branched excrescences up to 14 µm long by 1–1.5 µm wide.
Pleurocystidia absent.
Basidia clavate, 18–25 µm long by 7–10 µm wide, with basal clamps, generally 4-spored.
Spores ellipsoidal, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with a pointed end where the apiculus is located, measuring 6–8.5 µm long by 3.5–5 µm wide, containing oil guttules inside, amyloid in Melzer's reagent.
