Mycena bulbosa
(Cejp) Kühner

Study description
On rush stems (Juncus), with a tiny white pileus only 2–4 mm across, broad, fairly distant lamellae that are adnate and attached to a pseudocollarium, and a translucent white stipe with a pubescent basal disc of the same colour.
Cuticle (pileipellis) formed by filamentous hyphae widely separated by gelification (ixocutis), 1–5 µm wide, hyaline, septate, and with clamp connections at the septa.
Caulocystidia scattered, clavate, cylindrical to subfusiform.
Cheilocystidia subcylindrical to fusiform, measuring 27–35 µm long by 6–8 µm wide.
Pleurocystidia absent.
Basidia clavate, 18–25 µm long by 8–10 µm wide, with basal clamps, 4-spored.
Spores cylindrical, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with a more pointed end where the apiculus is located, measuring 7–12 µm long by 3.5–5 µm wide, with oil droplets inside, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
Herbarium material available: JTP2190/24.
