Menispora ciliata
Corda

Study description
General: Resupinate hyphomycete forming very thin, waxy-hirsute, bluish-grey effused patches on decaying wood on the ground.
Conidiophores: Erect, septate, moderately thick-walled, 4-5.5 µm wide, with abundant dark brown intracellular pigment.
Phialides: Branched, with conidia produced laterally and apically from the conidiogenous cells.
Conidia: Cylindrical, slightly allantoid, unicellular, ciliate, 14-20 x 3-4.4 µm excluding cilia, bearing a single polar setula/cilium at each end measuring 6-9.5 µm long, filled with oil droplets of variable size.
Herbarium vouchers: JTP2062/24 and JTP2444/25.
