Hymeniform cuticle (pileipellis), with clavate to pyriform, thick-walled hyphae measuring 16–27 µm long by 6–15 µm wide, with very faint brown intracellular pigment.
Sterile cells of the lamellar edge (cheilocystidia) very irregular, cylindrical, flexuous, with swellings and occasional bifurcations, thick-walled, measuring 25–55 µm long by 5–14 µm wide.
