Species found on decaying leaf litter in holm oak or beech woods, with a pileus under 1 cm across, reddish-brown at the centre and whitish elsewhere, thick, distant white lamellae, and a long reddish-brown stipe up to 4 cm in length.
Hymeniform cuticle (pileipellis), composed of globose to pyriform hyphae with moderately thickened walls, underlain by filamentous hyphae 2–5 µm wide, septate and with clamp connections at the septa.
Cheilocystidia cylindrical-fusiform to sublageniform, smooth- and thin-walled, without apical finger-like projections (digitations), measuring 30–45 µm long by 6–10 µm wide.
Basidia clavate, 20–30 µm long by 5–9 µm wide, with basal clamps, 4-spored.
Spores ellipsoidal, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with a pointed end where the apiculus is located, measuring 6–9 µm long by 4–5 µm wide, with a sparse content of small oil droplets inside.
