Limacella delicata
(Fr.) Earle ex Konrad & Maubl.

Study description
General: Formerly known as Limacella glioderma, occurring on calcareous soils in leaf litter, pileus flattened, viscid, reddish-brown, odor farinaceous, taste sweetish.
Pileipellis: Ixocutis formed by densely interwoven cylindrical hyphae 3-6 µm wide with brown intracellular pigment, separated by gelatinization, with erect terminal elements 25-50 µm long, septate with clamp connections.
Lamellar edge: Fertile, lacking differentiated cystidia.
Basidia: Cylindric-clavate, 20-27 x 5-7 µm, with basal clamp connections, 4-spored.
Spores: Spherical, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, 3.5-4.5 µm in diameter, with a hyaline apiculus, containing oil droplets, weakly dextrinoid in Melzer's reagent.
