Lenzitopsis oxycedri
Malençon & Bertault

Study description
General: Strictly host-specific to Juniperus (recorded on J. oxycedrus and J. thurifera), formerly named Lenzitella malenconii, featuring a dark brown tomentose pileus and a raduloid to hydnoid hymenium of flattened teeth.
Hyphal system: Monomitic, consisting entirely of thin-walled cylindrical generative hyphae 2.5-4 µm wide, sparsely branched; hyphae of the context and hymenial trama hyaline, while tomentum hyphae contain pale brown intracellular pigment; septate with clamp connections.
Cystidia: Absent.
Basidia: Initially clavate, becoming elongated and sinuous-cylindrical with development, 35-80 x 6-8 µm, with basal clamp connections, 4-spored.
Spores: Globose to subglobose, finely verruculose, pale brown under the microscope, with granular contents, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
Herbarium voucher: JTP2690/25.
