Lentinus arcularius
(Batsch) Zmitr.

Study description
General: Basidiomata centrally stipitate, pileus ochraceous covered with small brown scales, stipe cylindrical, concolorous and similarly scaly; hymenophore consisting of white angular-polygonal pores radially arranged, measuring up to 1.5 mm long.
Hyphal system: Dimitic: skeletal hyphae thick-walled, aseptate, 3-11 µm wide; generative hyphae hyaline, thin-walled, 2.5-5 µm wide, branched, septate with clamp connections.
Cystidia: Absent.
Basidia: Clavate, 25-35 x 5-6 µm, with basal clamp connections, 4-spored.
Spores: Cylindrical, some slightly allantoid, hyaline, smooth, thin-walled, 6.5-9 x 2.5-3.5 µm, with a lateral apiculus, containing oil guttules, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
