(Britzelm.) Sacc.

Study description
A species typical of calcareous soils, with a very pale brown cap bearing radial fibrils and a slightly scaly margin, having a fruity odor.
Pileipellis composed of parallelly arranged hyphae, 5-15 µm wide, with brownish intracellular pigment and brown surface incrustations, septate and clamped.
Caulocystidia-like terminal hyphae present only on the upper stipe.
Cheilocystidia irregular, fusiform to ventricose, 40-70 µm long and 12-20 µm wide, with wall thickness up to 2.5 µm, bearing apical crystallizations, intermixed with numerous shorter, clavate to pyriform paracystidia.
Pleurocystidia very similar in morphology and dimensions to cheilocystidia.
Basidia clavate, 25-35 µm long and 8-10 µm wide, with basal clamps, 4-spored.
Spores amygdaliform, smooth- and thick-walled, with one end more pointed at the apiculus, yellowish-brown under the microscope, with granular internal content.
