Inocybe catalaunica
Singer

Study description
Filed in my herbarium as Inocybe leiocephala, an epithet which GBIF considers a synonym under the current name Inocybe catalaunica; conversely, Index Fungorum treats both separately without synonymy.
A species typical of coniferous or mixed forests, with caulocystidia present over the entire stipe surface.
Pileipellis composed of hyphae arranged more or less parallelly, 5-10 µm wide, with yellowish-brown intracellular pigment, abundant light brown surface incrustations, and partially clamped septa.
Caulocystidia fusiform to lageniform, some with calcium oxalate crystals at the apex, intermixed with smooth cylindrical, clavate to pyriform elements, both present across the entire stipe surface.
Cheilocystidia fusiform, walls up to 3 µm thick, intermixed with abundant clavate paracystidia.
Pleurocystidia very similar in morphology and dimensions to cheilocystidia.
Basidia cylindric-clavate, 26-30 µm long and 8-10 µm wide, with basal clamps, 4-spored.
Spores ellipsoidal to slightly amygdaliform, smooth- and thick-walled, yellowish-brown under the microscope, with an inconspicuous eccentric apiculus at one end and abundant internal oil guttules.
