Incrucipulum ciliare
(Schrad. ex J.F.Gmel.) Baral

Study description
A minute ascomycete only up to 0.4 mm across with a short stipe, occurring especially on decaying leaves and wood of Quercus.
Marginal hairs cylindrical, hyaline, thick-walled, multiseptate, just over 100 µm long and 5-7 µm wide, with a rugose to granular surface and abundant calcium oxalate crystals at the apex.
Ectal excipulum of textura prismatica, with square to rectangular, thick-walled hyphae.
Asci cylindrical to clavate, inoperculate, 8-spored, 60-80 µm long and 7-8.5 µm wide, with biseriate to slightly irregular ascospore arrangement inside, without basal croziers, with an amyloid reaction of their minute apical apparatus in IKI.
Paraphyses scarce, filiform, only 1.5-2 µm wide, without swellings, with rounded apices, generally not projecting above the level of the asci.
Ascospores fusiform, hyaline, thin-walled, with pointed ends and faint internal oil or lipid guttules.
